Introduction
This web site is the East Midlands Science and Engineering Communications wiki (EMSEC). It lists resources available for communicating science, engineering, technology and mathematics within this UK region.
This is a wiki which means that readers (including YOU) can edit it. You can also add comments and discuss ideas in the discussion pages.
In order to edit you will need to register and login. This is free and simple. We do this so we can try to control those who might want to vandalise the work of others or be abusive. Working on a shared project like this, or any wiki, requires a certain amount of respect for others.
The aim of this site is to provide an information repository, networking venue and resource for all science and engineering communicators in the East Midlands. It is maintained by the BA (British Association for the Advancement of Science).
How to Help
If you would like to help by editing incomplete (or stub) pages then click here for a list of stubs awaiting completion, or to help cleanup some of the more dissasociated and possibly irrelevant articles click here to view the cleanup category listings.
Summary of STEM Networks and Resources
To support an EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) PPE (Partnerships for Public Engagement) Workshop, we prepared two lists of local and national STEM networks and resources, one for the East Midlands and one for the whole of England.
See STEM Networks and Resources East Midlands and STEM Networks and Resources UK for details.

Promote EMSEC
If you like EMSEC and find it useful why not add a link to it in your email signature, like this:
Publicise your science or engineering activities in the East Midlands, develop projects on-line, network with other businesses or academics, offer resources to schools, find partners at www.emsec.org.uk. It's a free wiki!
EMSEC Demonstrations
Phil Brown is very happy to offer free demonstrations of the EMSEC wiki to your organisation within the East Midlands. Contact him at philip.brown@the-ba.net.
